​Kowhai Wairarapa is owned and operated by Frank Hogan, who has expanded his successful wellington operation.

Frank Hogan is something of a jack-of-all trades. In his younger years he tried his hand at gibbing, painting and plastering, and building before settling on a career in roofing.

 

After several years perfecting his craft, Frank went to work at Kowhai Wellington City and liked it so much that in 2016 he and his brother bought the business.

 

Since then, he has grown the team to 7 roofers (including himself) plus a number of contractors and support staff. These days Frank is mostly off the tools and spends his time pricing, managing the team and handling quality control. He’s a perfectionist and that’s reflected in the client testimonials below.

Frank is also big on safety so his team has completed Site Safe & Vertical Horizons Training, covering everything from Working at Heights, and Harness Safety, to Fall Arrest Systems. That means you can have confidence that everyone and everything that’s supposed to be on the roof will remain where it should.

​Outside of work, Frank stays “roof fit” playing a variety of sports.
